Governance Infrastructure
A governance infrastructure has been formed to assist in steering the national direction of talent and succession, with the NHS Wales Talent Management Board established in March 2021. The Board is chaired by the Chief Executive NHS Wales and comprises representatives from NHS Wales, Welsh Government and Trade Union Partners. The Board is supported by a Talent and Succession Operational Group; and both are crucial to establishing opportunities across Wales which allow leaders to develop the skills and experience necessary to successfully and effectively function at a senior and executive level.
