Programmes and Offerings
The Welsh Clinical Leadership Training Fellowship (WCLTF) programme is a one year opportunity for doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, optometrists, AHPs and Healthcare Scientists. The WCLTF programme provides training and hands-on experience in clinical leadership and management. The aim of the scheme is to recruit and develop the most aspiring clinical leaders of the future.The WCLTF opened to Healthcare Scientists for the first time in 2022! and there will be mixed opportunities each year to apply for general projects or healthcare science specific projects, such as those supporting the work of the Healthcare Science Programme.

The Institute of Health & Social Care Management is an Institute, approved in company law, with membership open to leaders, managers and administrators working in health and social care. We can now officially say Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are the regional hub for Wales providing free memberships for Health and Social care staff all across Wales.
Being part of the IHSCM, you will have access to a number of events, workshops and resources to support you as a nurse.

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) has a leading role establishing and managing the succession planning and talent management process for senior and executive leadership roles across NHS Wales. Extensive research, stakeholder engagement and learning from other UK nations, has informed implementation of the NHS Wales Succession Strategy 2017 – 2027.
