The Mental Health Team Manager Development Programme is a 9-month leadership and management development opportunity for current and aspiring mental health team managers across health, social care, and third sector mental health services in Wales. On completion, participants will receive a recognised accredited academic qualification, skills, and knowledge to equip them in their role as current or future Mental Health Team Manager. The programme will include a focus on leadership priorities within NHS Wales, such as compassionate and collective leadership, psychological safety, patient safety and digital improvement/data driven services.

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is launching the exciting new Mental Health Leadership Mentorship Scheme in late 2024! Towards this we are looking for senior mental health leaders, of all professions, with a passion for supporting the development of leaders, to become leadership mentors. Mentors will be offered a fully funded 1 year mentorship training programme (ILM 5 or 7), supervision sessions and a community of practice to support their mentorship journey.We are also looking for mental health leaders with a desire to develop their leadership skills to benefit, through becoming our first cohort of mentees.

The 3D Programme is designed to address the educational requirements of healthcare workers who wish to extend their abilities in engaging with, and influencing, the service improvement agenda in NHS Wales.
