Stepping into Senior Leadership Programme is a positive action initiative designed for minority ethnic colleagues with high potential, aiming to progress to senior roles within NHS Wales. This programme is dedicated to increasing confidence, overcoming barriers, and identifying skills for further development to encourage career progression.
The 12-month programme will provide colleagues with a comprehensive learning framework that supports the discovery of leadership strategies, development of self-awareness, and understanding of the NHS Wales system.
Colleagues will foster productive and meaningful networks within a safe and supportive environment, enriched by the insights and experiences of peers and experts.

Eligibility
The programme is open to all NHS Wales colleagues working at AfC Band 7 or Band 8a and 8b Medical/Dental experience equivalent, who identify as being from Black, Asian or minority ethnic backgrounds.

How to Apply
Applications open Friday 27 June 2025 and will close on Monday 11 August 2025.
Shortlisting and notification will take place between mid-August and early September.
