A leadership resource for Health Professionals working in a Safeguarding related role, including Lead and Named Professionals, those colleagues in either corporate or wider extended Safeguarding Teams, and Health and Allied Health professionals (AHP’s) who ‘champion’ Safeguarding as part of their current role.
A robust and effective safeguarding system across NHS Wales requires excellent leadership from all staff groups working within Health organisations. Moreover, leading in safeguarding requires expert knowledge alongside an ability to work under pressure in a demanding and complex situational environment.
This area is designed to support Safeguarding Leadership by providing a variety of bespoke resources that are attuned to key Safeguarding topics and utilise a ‘masterclass’ style to engage keynote speakers. Using HEIW’s Gwella network as an integral way for us to connect with our peers, the Safeguarding Leadership Hub can become an accessible, dynamic and integral way that all staff can progress and develop.
The Safeguarding Leadership Hub is supported by the National Safeguarding Service. It is our aim to enable connections across the safeguarding system to add value to national safeguarding priorities through credible, inspiring and motivational leadership.
