Angharad's Story

Angharad struggled with self-doubt and overthinking before CLIP. The course taught participants how to show genuine care and empathy toward themselves and others. As a result, CLIP gave her the understanding to make a positive change in her life.  Angharad transformed her mindset and focused on self-compassion, lost over 2 stone, and became a Slimming World consultant in her free time.

"CLIP changed so much for me — I’m a very different person now. CLIP gave me the ability to understand and believe in myself and made me realise that I’m important too. I finally learnt how to be in control of my own life! I’m a much happier, more confident person, and I know I can do anything I put my mind to. If you get the opportunity to enrol on this programme, do it! It will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make".

Olivia's Story

Olivia started her nursing career at 50 and experienced imposter syndrome during her secondment as Deputy Ward Manager. CLIP helped her realise her doubts stemmed from within, which empowered her to break tasks into manageable steps.

"I didn’t feel that I was good enough; I lacked confidence. The CLIP course showed me that my doubt came from inside me, and nothing to do with my ability to do the job. It was empowering because now I have the confidence to believe in myself and my knowledge, which has made me a more confident and effective practitioner.

This programme exemplifies how a reasonably simple training offer can have a broad and important impact on the working environments of our staff, but also how that has a knock-on effect to the patients that we serve and is deserving of recognition."

Rhy's Story

Since completing CLIP, Rhys applied innovation and risk management skills to address a time-consuming, stressful administrative issue. The participant applied these skills to address a time-consuming and stressful issue with printing leaflets, which took 2.5 hours weekly. By collaborating with staff, they transitioned to electronic letters, saving 7 hours of administrative time and approximately 390 pages of printing costs. Staff reported feeling relief and less pressure. Rhys described CLIP as “the most exciting, innovative leadership programme" he has experienced.
