The 3D Programme is a free educational programme open to all registered healthcare professionals in NHS Wales. This well-established programme provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills which will support you in delivering and improving patient services in Wales. The programme combines theory and practice in interactive workshops facilitated by experienced speakers.
The Advanced Clinical Leadership Programme is a considerable investment in our senior clinical staff. The HEIW Internship Programme is constituted of a 8-weeks programme and a year long programme.
The 8 week co-produced summer internship is designed by and for students and will allow its participants to immerse in a department and work on their own project of the duration of the programme. The year-long internship gives the opportunity for participants to work in several different areas of the organisation, ensuring valuable work experience, witnessing first hand the day-to-day challenges of the NHS.
The Introduction to Healthcare Leadership Programme aims to introduce a range of practical and interpersonal skills that will enable individuals to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams. It is designed for healthcare professionals who are in the early stages of career development or who are just beginning to manage people and teams.
The NHS Wales General Management Graduate Programme is a two-year work-based programme that includes a fully funded Master's programme for aspiring leaders of NHS Wales. Graduates will gain academic knowledge as well as a hands-on learning experience, based in placements across Wales in primary care, secondary care and corporate divisions. Trainees will undertake a fully funded Masters programme alongside work-based learning.

Graduates from the Welsh Clinical Leadership Fellowship (WCLF) programme will be ideally placed to build and lead developments and improvements in the delivery of healthcare.
The WCLF programme is a one year opportunity for doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, optometrists, AHPs and Healthcare Scientists. The WCLF programme provides training and hands-on experience in clinical leadership and management. The aim of the scheme is to recruit and develop the most aspiring clinical leaders of the future.
