Leadership Development for
Pharmacy Professionals in the NHS
The Pharmacy Leadership Hub area is designed specifically to support pharmacy professionals in their leadership journey. It is a resource for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to use at any stage of their career to further develop their understanding of how leadership forms an integral part of healthcare and to show how practicing compassionate and inclusive leadership can benefit patients and services in Wales. We hope it will be valuable for individual progression and in helping to support others.
The Vision
In line with the Health and Care Workforce Strategy and the Pharmacy Workforce Plan, by 2030 all Pharmacy Team members will demonstrate collective and compassionate leadership skills and effective team working, to provide high quality care whilst leading the medicines agenda in Wales. This hub can offer support in the following ways:
- Expert resources to build your understanding of how compassionate and collective leadership can shape your practice
- Access to self-assessment tools and leadership portfolios to document your leadership development
- Peer recommended leadership programmes and offerings to help support and enable you to become a compassionate and collective leader
- Personal and professional development through access to coaching and mentoring programmes
- Access to key strategic documents that focus on policy and professional vision
