Emeline Eslamian - Host and Producer

Emeline Eslamian is the host and producer of the 'Redefining Leadership Podcast’. Emeline began her NHS Wales journey with Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) Summer Internship

in 2022, progressing to the HEIW Year-long Internship.

On her Internship, she had the privilege of collaborating with Professor Michael West and has gained an in-depth understanding of the Compassionate Leadership Principles and the impact they can have on quality of patient care and staff well-being. This has inspired her to base Re-Defining Leadership Podcast on the seven Compassionate Leadership Principles. Emeline's aim with Redfining is to provide listeners with a fresh perspective on leadership to improve their leadership skills at all levels.

Currently, Emeline holds the position of 'Digital Project Support Officer' at HEIW. Her journey in healthcare leadership has only just started but, she is aiming to start the conversation of how we can redefining the approach of quality care. She wants this for all patients and support for healthcare professionals through compassion.

Afonso Palma - Executive Producer

Afonso became a member of the Culture, Leadership and Succession Team in HEIW in September 2020 as Project Support Officer for the NHS Wales General Management Programme

where his interest for embedding compassionate cultures within health care was fostered.

In addition to his enthusiasm for Compassionate Leadership, his visual and digital media background have lead him to progress to the role of Digital Leadership Project Manager, supporting with the management and day-to-day running of the Gwella platform. He is responsible for a range of digital projects, collaborating with colleagues and partners across organisations.
