Aspiring Executive Talent Pool 2023-2025

Are you an aspiring executive or system leader employed within NHS Wales and looking for an opportunity to explore your future career plans supported by a bespoke development offer?

The Aspiring Executive Talent Pool provides an opportunity for aspiring executive and system leaders to identify themselves as potential future Executive and Board Directors via online application. Successful applicants will benefit from a framework of development opportunities; and attendance at an Aspiring Executive Development Centre, resulting in an informed and tailored development plan, aimed at empowering individuals to make the right choices, and enhancing success in achieving progression to an Executive /Board level position. As part of this active Talent Pool individuals will also be visible to NHS Wales and will benefit from vacancy announcements and deployment opportunities.

Applicants will need to meet key criteria outlined within The Process and the application form; and applications will be reviewed by an All Wales Executive Talent and Succession Validation Panel in a process which will provide an objective, fair and transparent method of determining readiness and high potential for executive and system level director roles.

Organisational endorsement via an Executive level sponsor will be required following initial application, to ensure local support, development and investment for individuals joining the Aspiring Executive Talent Pool.
