So what’s involved in being a Climate Smart Champion?



• Assist with communicating new information around climate smart practices.
• Test new ways of working and become early adopters of new working practices.
• Understand how the change impacts their fellow colleagues.
• Help train and coach impacted employees to use the new processes and tools.
• Aid in the engagement process with group leaders and managers.
• Continue to support, coach, and engage impacted users after adopting new way of working.
• Help identify points of resistance.
• Help to remediate points of resistance.
• Assist in gathering input and feedback at the grass-roots level on communications, engagement, and training campaigns, and providing feedback to the Change Management and Project Management managers.
• Coordinate green actions that are proposed.
• Help establish and promote the sustainability network HEIW is creating.
• Encourage staff to join their local Green Group.
